Got myself a copy of Starting Strength, by Mark Rippetoe – probably the manosphere’s favorite starting book on lifting. I’m about 25 pages in, just getting through the squat section, and I’m enjoying Mark’s writing style and straightforward advice.
Also got a membership at the YMCA near me, and before next week’s fitness post, I’ll have been there at least once to check out the weight room, talk about schedules and personal training, and figure out what I need to get started.
If you need anything fitness-related I’m always down to offer help. I want my friends and comrades to succeed in fitness, since it’s by and large one of the most significant factors in changing your life. God knows where I’d be if I never started.
